In the attempt to be witty, I began this section by writing “Anders is an awesome aussie guy-” only to realised how lame (and hard!) it is to talk about yourself in the third person. So instead I’ll keep it informal and relaxed, just like me!
Witicism aside, my name is Anders and I live in Sydney, Australia. I’m 17 years old and just about to finish off my last year at school (finally!). I guess you could say I’m just a normal teenager but I have to admit I’m a bit sick of the way most teenagers act and think, rarely looking ahead, and consider myself different in that regard. I’m into playing guitar and trying to sing, surfing, photography and getting fit amongst countless other things. Being in my final school year, I’m really looking forward to heading out into the “real world” and making more of my own choices. I’m planning to launch straight into a degree at Uni but would love to start some businesses on the side (It’s not that easy, I know…). I’ve always been the guy on the lookout for ways to make money, cashing in on the biggest crazes at school, buying and selling hot items on eBay or investing in undervalued shares but with school having been such a focus in recent years, I’ve found it difficult to fully commit to any business or job. So I’m really excited about finishing up this part of my life and beginning the next.
I’ve been a blog lurker for quite some time now and have naturally become drawn to niches such as the infamous “make money online blog”. While I was at first tempted to add yet another blog of this type to the blogosphere with the promise of mega bucks in affiliate revenue, I think this niche has become a little over explored and quite frankly have become bored of reading endless posts about how to make more money from your blog. My philosophy is based on Googles. That being, focus first upon offering something that is genuinely useful to the public and then monetise it, not the other way around. I may occasionally discuss monetisation topics, but wish to offer a more personal blog with my ideas on life and general entrepreneurship. I’d love to have a flash, personal blog design with a hosted domain but I think I’ll start with the simple wordpress one until i finish school and hopefully by then I will have an audience of 1 or more!
My main objective with this blog is to join and interact with the blogging community and have fun blogging, not to pay the bills (of which I have none
). As I blog, I may gradually change and focus on a more particular niche, we’ll see, but for now, welcome, and I hope we can get to know each other!
